Pop singer Britney Spears, 25, and Kevin Federline, 29, were finally officially divorced on July 30, 2007.
“The divorce is final. Britney is okay with the arrangement. She would like to be with the kids more. She said that. She thinks Federline would like that too,” said by the lawyer of Britney Spear, Laura Wasser.
Spears married Federline in October 6, 2004, eight months after her first
marriage to childhood friend Jason Alexander was annulled. Federline is one of Britney Spears’ former backup dancers. Their love lasts for two years and one month.
Britney Spears is asking for legal custody of their two sons, 22-month-old Sean Preston and 10-month-old Jayden James, with visitation rights for Federline. Court commissioner Scott Gordon said, “The best interests of the children could be harmed” if the arrangement were not sealed.
Spears also requested separate property for her earnings and accumulations, miscellaneous jewelry, other personal affects and other undisclosed assets to be declared separate property. She doesn’t want to disclose to the court their divorce settlement
