Bhavna Talwar Sends Legal Notice Regarding Eklavya Indian Film Fraternity’s new found obsession with the Oscars is pretty apparent with all the controversies surrounding Eklavya. Personally I found the film extremely boring and the screenplay was a complete letdown. However many feel that Eklavya should have been India’s entry to the Oscars as it has the “foreign appeal”.
Dharm director Bhavna Talwar disagrees and has sent a legal notice to the Film Federation Of India, alleging that the selection of Eklavya was “biased and vitiated and intended to wrongfully benefit the producer of the film Eklavya."
Retaliating to director Bhavna Talwar calling Eklavya "boring" Vidhu Vinod Chopra has been quoted as calling Dharm "a load of shit…immature, childish".
Talwar is sarcasm in person. "If Mr. Chopra thinks my film about the religious divide and brotherhood is a load of shit then he must be right. He is, after all, the maker of such undying masterpieces as Kareeb, Mission Kashmir and Eklavya. I’m ready to take lessons in filmmaking from Mr Chopra if he’s willing to take me on as an apprentice. Maybe then I’ll stop making immature films."
