Shah Rukh Khan is known to do things in style. As is common knowledge, there is a song sequence in Om Shanti Om featuring 30 veteran film stars. However, what isn’t common knowledge is that Shah Rukh presented each one of the 30 veterans a gift hamper containing expensive watches and cellphones, as they had refused to take any money from him.
Actors Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Mithun Chakraborty, Rekha, Shabana Azmi, Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Preity Zinta, Sanjay Dutt, Kajol, Govinda, Karisma Kapur and Bobby Deol, are among the stars who agreed to take part in the special song sequence from Om Shanti Om. However, all of them did the song free of charge. To thank them, SRK presented each one of them with a gift hamper.
Each hamper contained a a watch from an international brand that SRK endorses, a Nokia N-series cellphone, a gold coin and a Om Shanti Om T-shirt, along with a personalized letter of thanks written by SRK and Farah Khan. Needless to say, the actors were touched by this gesture of appreciation as well.
