Going from one controversy to another, Ashutosh Gowariker just can’t seem to wrap up his magnum opus Jodhaa Akbar. It seems the director has now decided to delete two songs from the film. One is a qawwali while the other is a romantic duet; both of which were slated to be picturised on Hrithik and Aishwarya.
A source from the unit reveals, "Rahman had already recorded the two songs but Ashutosh did not want to delay the release again." Ash was too busy with her wedding and shooting for Pink Panther to make time for the qawwali.
As for the romantic number it seems the film was getting too lengthy so Gowariker couldn’t afford shoot any more sequences. Apparently, the first cut is already four hours long; something Hrithik is unhappy about.
The film has been in the making for quite some time now and both the actors are apparently keen on finishing it as soon as possible. While Ash has allotted six extra dates to the film, Hrithik will shoot non-stop through the first week of November. Completing the film has seriously been one long battle for Gowariker. Jodhaa Akbar was supposed to release in October along with Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Laaga Chunari… But has now been postponed to January 25.
