Azhagiya Tamil Magan
The music of Vijay’s latest film is already busting the charts
Ilayathalapathi Vijay sports a ravishing look in Azhagiya Tamil Magan, his latest film releasing this Diwali. He has been paired with two top sensations in the Tamil film industry, Namitha and Shriya.
The music of Azhagiya...has been composed by AR Rahman. In addition to making all the six songs thoroughly enjoyable, the maestro has also worked at glorifying the yesteryear hit, Ponmagal Vandhal through a remix.
Ella Pugazhum is a thematic song rendered by Rahman with apt lyrics. The charming melody is set at a uniformly pleasant tempo and slides smoothly like honey to produce the desired effect.
The enthusiasm in Maduraikku Pogathadee makes the first impression a strong and good one. Sung by Benny Dayal, Dharshana and Archith, it sparkles with freshness due to its occasional Western beats. Ponmagal Vandaal, a remix, rekindles the same fondness and fascination one experienced while hearing the original. The effect is greatly enhanced by the trendy instrumentation and rap. The song comes in a combination of Ember Rap and Aslam’s voices. Nee Marilyn Monroe is sprightly in Benny Dayal and Ujjayinee’s voices with a fine balance in rhythm. Valayapatti Thavile has an interesting application of classical music accompanied by a traditional set of instruments. Madhumitha, Naresh Iyer and Ujjayinee take equal credits in the rendition. Kelamaal Kaiyile, sung by Sriram Parthasarathy and Saindhavi, progresses at a pace that attracts listeners because of the understated simplicity and gracefulness in it.
