Well, this is what the public thinks half way through the movie “Aaja Nachle”.
As usual our producers have come up with a script, which is unoriginal, copied and based on the Brazilian musical “Xuxa Requebra “.
What they don’t understand is that what works in a foreign country will not work in our country.
There is so much of talent here itself in India, that there is no need for the producers to copy anyone’s script.
Poor Madhuri was lured and attracted to this particular script because it required her to do something that she loves doing the most- Dancing.
With the kind of publicity and promotion campaigns the expectation level rose sky high, only to come down plummeting with a loud crash.
More so ever the advertisers of this movie played on the psyche of the audience luring them to witness the same magic of Madhuri , whose sensual moves got the heat out of every man in the 90’s.
Though one cannot hear the cash registers jingling, one can surely hear the loud protests of two states who have wanted the movie to be banned.
As a viewer you tend to loose the sense of consistency in the movie, midway itself and may wonder what is happening.
They say that “Empty vessels make a lot of noise” and the same applies to this movie.
Hat’s off to those who sit through the entire length of this movie.
