Rajkumar Santoshi’s ‘Halla Bol’ which stars Ajay Devgan, Vidya Balan and Pankaj Kapur was supposed to release alongside Aamir Khan’s Taare Zamen Par and Anees Bazmee’s Welcome on the 21st of December, but has now been pushed back. Yup, the film will now release on the 11th of January alongside Mukta Arts’ Bombay To Bangkok and My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves, and most people are saying that Santoshi was scared that TZP and Welcome would be too much competition. That’s strange, since Halla Bol itself is generating some good prerelease hype! The film is being promoted with a series of street play contests being held around India, and everyone who’s seen rushes of the film have nothing but god things to say about it.
