Mithun Chakravarthy is all set to play Don in his next titled Don Muthuswamy. Veteran director Sakti Samanta’s son Ashim is directing the movie. We spoke to the actor for more details about the film.
“The picture is based on the 1960’s era and there is lots of dance in the movie. We have done fusion with it. I play Don Muthuswamy, a Tamilian. His entire family came from Tamil Nadu and settled down in Mumbai. He is already married to a Punjabi girl but still ties the knot with another girl. He has two daughters from them and hence has to face lots of problems. However, his father falls ill and asks him to leave all these things. The real twist comes when he has to manage with two daughters, two wives and two goons who are behind him,” reveals Mithun.
Rohit Roy, who also stars in the film adds, “It is a mind-blowing film. I am playing Mithunda’s manager. In the entire film, we play a cat and mouse game with each other. He tries to fool me and I think that I am the smartest person in the world. It has a superb climax which I would not like to disclose.”
The film stars also Shakti Kapoor, Hrishita Bhatt, Mohit Raina and debutant Anusmriti. The shooting of the film has been completed.
Mithun’s South Indian character of Krishnan Iyer from Agneepath won him a national award. The actor is also filming for Yuvraaj and C Company.
