Femina Miss India South Parvathy Omanakuttan was crownedMiss India 2008 last night in a star-studded ceremony. Parvathy, who won the Miss India World title, shared the podium with Simran Kaur Mundi (Miss India Universe) and Harshita Saxena (Miss India Earth).
“Our dreams have come true and this feels so unbelievable,” said the southern beauty.
Although I must say… I really didn’t like the judges’ choice. I mean there so many other more beautiful girls! Ask me and I’ll show you some in my college only!
But then, beauty is incomplete without wisdom… as they say. Personally speaking, I don’t think Parvathy stands a chance in the international peagent.
Hailing from Kottayam in ‘God’s own country’ and now settled in Mumbai, Parvathy is studying English Literature at Mithibai College. She is 20 years, 5′ 8.5″ tall and has vital stats of 32-27-36. Her hobbies include: Listening to music, dancing, glass painting, reading, playing basketball and badminton.
She was also crowned Navy Queen 2006 at a contest held at the Southern Naval Command in connection with the annual Navy Ball.
The turning point of the event came when she left the audiences and judges spell bound with her million dollar reply!
“Divorces are not a result of western influence. At the end of the day, it is we who decide whose worth us. Marriage is not when one completes the other but is when both share their completeness” said the youngster thus evoking a roaring applause.
