Actress Kajol, who is yet to come to terms with loss of her father Shomu Mukherjee who passed away last month, has taken to reading novels in an effort to divert her attention.
A source from the Rock N Roll Family on which she was recently seen in tears reveals, “To cope up with her father’s death she always reads novels so that her mind stays fresh to judge the contestants. Among all the judges she is most jovial person. She carries a bunch of books - English, Bengali and Marathi. She likes reading romantic novels. In English she reads Mills and Boons, in Bengali she likes Devdas and in Marathi books on Sane Guruji. Even during breaks she reads novels in her vanity van.”
Adds the source, “Tanuja is also addicted to reading and can hardly keep the books down so much so that in case she is in the middle of an interesting paragraph, she sweetly asks for a 5 minute extension of the break. She carries her books everywhere.”
About Kajol breaking down on the sets last week, the source says, “She was not able to control her emotions and broke down so Ajay Devgan has planned for a short trip to Goa with daughter Nysa, Tanuja, Tanishaa and Kajol.” But the source clarifies that the shooting for Rock N Roll Family will not be cancelled and will happen as per schedule on Monday.
Interestingly, the Rock N Roll team has opened a special library for the bookworm mother - daughter duo.
