Katrina Kaif almost pulled out of the IIFAs this year but looking at her performance we sure are glad she didn’t.Looking super confident and sexy as she grooved to her hit numbers from Race and Welcome, Kaif had one of the most scintillating acts of the night complete with bikes and cars on stage.So we asked her why was she thinking of backing out?
“It’s just that I’ve been awfully ill. Like really really unwell… so in fact in the lead up to the awards ceremony I did tell Andre (Timmons), the director at Wizcraft, that I think I need to back out, that I can’t come. But he was like no you can’t. you have to. So because he is a friend of mine and a complete sweetheart I agree to do this for him. But obviously because I’ve been unwell I haven’t had the chance to shop or meet my fans or anything,” says the actress.
Talking about her performance she says she is quite excited about the entire set up and can’t wait to see the fans react.
“It does require me to like completely concentrate on my act for those 6-8 minutes because I have these cars and bikes on stage going past as I dance. But I really enjoy performing…dancing… it gives me a great high. And I hope my viewers like it as well. At the end of the day it’s really all for them,” says Katrina.
The actress chose to go traditional to the awards ceremony looking beautiful in a black with pink trimmings Manish Malhotra sari.
“Like I said I’ve been so unwell… so normally I actually go shopping and looking for all that I have to wear to a ceremony. But this time I just told Manish to send something over. I didn’t even see it.. I just put it on before the ceremony but I trust him to make me look good!” signed off the actress.
