As far as anyone knows, sportsmen, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, better known as the Nawab of Pataudi, and Prakash Padukone never got around playing cricket or badminton together. However, Soha Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone, at a recent event, displayed their sporty skills together. The two were paired opposite each other for a match of badminton. Deepika was heard saying, “I am happy to be here. I love the game. Moreover, we have been playing since long.” Soha too joined in. she said, “It was great fun, especially since I am a huge fan of this sport.”
Prakash, who was paired alongside Soha, spoke at length about his daughter’s badminton skills. Not many know that Deepika was an Under 16 National Level player. Prakash says, “She (Deepika) was quite good in the game. Though she was not number one, she used to come close. She used to play regularly till she got into the 10th standard. After that she went into modeling and then films happened.” The badminton champ, Prakash, who was paired alongside Soha seemed to have no qualms losing out to his daughter. He smiled, “This was just an exhibition match.”
