From USA to Singapore and from Norway to South Africa, Aamir Khan’s latest movie Ghajini will release simultaneously in 22 countries on December 25.
The greatly anticipated movie is Aamir Khan ’s first full-on masala film in many years and is likely to pull crowds in hordes to cine theatres.
Written and directed by Tamil film director A.R. Murugadoss , the film will premiere in over 300 cinemas worldwide. The key markets are UAE with 36 prints, the US and Canada with 112 prints and the UK with 65 prints.
The film will also open simultaneously in Norway, Hong Kong, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
"There has been a very good response from exhibitors to ’Ghajini’, with keen anticipation from the media and public alike. Aamir Khan has been off the screen for almost a year and his fans cannot wait, having already pushed the soundtrack up on the charts," says Jawahar Sharma, COO of BIG Pictures’ international distribution.
The original film Ghajini (Tamil) was a box office success and was appreciated by critics too. Asin , who also stars in the remake, had bagged the Best Actress Award at the South India Filmfare Awards.
‘Ghajini’ has music by A R Rahman and lyrics by Prasoon Joshi .
The movie is being released by Reliance BIG Pictures. In India, the film will hit the theatres on the evening of December 24 with special preview screenings.
