She kept turning down offers and was about to make her big debut opposite Madhavan to be directed by her father. The project never took off but then on the bright side, we’re seeing her with Imran now!
Jackie Bhagnani
Son of: Vashu Bhagnani
Jackie makes his big screen appearance thanks to his producer father Vashu. Biwi No 1, Bade Miya Chote Miya and Mukhe Kuch Kehna Hai were some of papa Bhagnani’s creations. And if he has his way, he could well make Jackie the new star with his film called Kal Kisne Dekha. To be directed by Vivek Sharma of Bhootnath fame (or infamy?), Kal Kisne Dekha will also star another newcomer. Will it work? Who knows? As the title says, Kal Kisne Dekha!?!
Vaishali Desai
Granddaughter of: Late Manmohan Desai
There are people who go abroad for further studies. But Vaishali Desai returned to Mumbai instead. We aren’t sure how far she went with her studies but she has made a mark for herself in the modelling industry. Pond’s Dreamflower talc, Tanishq, Compaq and Raymonds are some of the brands she has endorsed. She has also done a video for one of Kumar Sanu’s music albums. Apparently Vashu Bhagnani selected her after auditioning for more than a 100 girls to star opposite his son Jackie.
Aditya Narayan

Ask one of the teenyboppers today and chances are they won’t know Udit Narayan. But tell them he’s Aditya Narayan’s father and they may just be able to connect. Aditya Narayan is one of those sole exceptions to the rule that son’s of famous fathers cannot be popular. He has sung quite a few numbers with his father. But today he hosts a singing reality show called Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Aditya is to be launched as a hero in a movie called Shaapith and will be directed by Vikram Bhatt.
Kapil Chopra
Son of: Ravi Chopra
With a name like Chopra, Kapil could have well not considered any other profession. And sure enough like the rest of his family, Kapil too will join the film industry. The film will be called Kohinoor and will revolve around the famous diamond. Rumour has it that Shah Rukh Khan is to make an appearance in the film. Kohinoor will be directed by his brother - also a debutant - Abhay Chopra.
Varun Vij
Son of: Deepak Balraj Vij
Deepak may not necessarily be a name many might connect with. But the man who made Sailaab with Madhuri Dixit is now making a film on the life of the Indian saint Sai Baba. Varun has worked as an assistant director for the last seven years and has also done theatre. He will star in the Sai Baba film, which is called Maalik Ek. The movie also stars Jackie Shroff as the saint.
