The I View Film Fest starts on August 28 in New York. There would be a number of Hindi films which would be screened at the festival.
Among all big names and films to be exhibited, Tarun Mansukhani’s idea on gays or homosexuality would actually be the first film to be shown.
John Abraham would be present for the screening along with kiron Kher and Boman Irani, but his better half in the film Abhishek Bachchan would not be able to attend.
Even Priyanka the female lead of the film is also busy in her shooting schedule and would not be able to attend.
Tarun feels it was his film which broke the silence on gay and homosexuality by brining the topic to mainstream cinema. The other films to be showcased are veteran filmmaker Shyam
Benegal’s 1983 film “Mandi”, Mira Nair’s “My Own Country”. Rituparno Ghosh’s “Bariwali”. Another Hindi film which would be shown at the finale of the fest is “Luck By Chance” debut film of director Zoya Akhtar.
