Vidya Balan has recently purchased a plush new flat in Khar

First Karisma and Kareena Kapoor purchased plus pads here. Then came Bipasha Basu. And now the latest B-Town beauty to add to the list is Vidya Balan.

“Vidya has recently purchased a plush new flat in Khar. She had been hunting for her own place for some time now and just recently, while filming for Paa and Ishqiya, she settled on this new apartment,” says our source, “The actress, who used to previously live with her parents in Chembur, decided to move towards Bandra so that it would be easier to commute to work.”

Interestingly, Vidya’s new home in Anand Apartments is just a stone’s throw from Kareena Kapoor’s flat. Right round the corner from Vidya’s building is the famous Chinese restaurant China Garden. The same building also houses Shilpa Shetty’s Iosis spa, and right across the street from the restaurant is Kareena’s home in Rose Queen.

After being constantly criticized for her clothes and acting, it looks like things are finally looking up for Vidya. From losing oodles of weight to grabbing headlines with stellar performances in Paa and Ishqiya , the actress seems to have become the flavour of the season.

Now, one can’t help but wonder has the change in fortunes enabled the purchase of the flat or was it the other way round!
