Babul Supriyo is all excited about this movie, in which he is appearing as the hero. He had had a small appearance in a Bengali movie named ‘Chander Bari’ earlier, but this time he gets to play the male lead role. Although the theme and the idea of the movie is identical, Babul claims that it is not a remake but has new twists added to it. He also claims that it is a tribute to the great actor Uttam Kumar. Babul’s character in this movie is also called Uttam Kumar Chakraborty.
Supriyo talked about the problems faced by them as the previous producers and a couple of prominent actors had left them stranded. The movie has being produced by D Silva Productions, Rose Valley Films and Brand Value Communications jointly and released on the 4th of June.
