Director Manish Jha is all set to make his next film. After waiting endlessly for Shilpa Shetty to start her production house for which Manish was signed on, he has moved on and is making a film on the mountain man Dashrath Manji. The film will be produced by Udaan fame Sanjay Singh.
Our source said, “The film is based on the life of Dashrath Manji who broke an entire mountain single-handedly. Manji, who used to live in a small town in Bihar, lost his wife when she fell from a mountain. The villagers were isolated from the mainland due to a huge mountain and that affected their livelihood.
Manji took it upon himself to break the mountain and make a road. It took him 22 years to do so but he made the road for his fellow villagers before he died. Jha is currently finalising Manoj Bajpai to play the role of Manji.”
