Shahrukh Khan will undergo a knee surgery in Mumbai in the last week of July. Earlier SRK had planned to have the surgery performed in the US.
Dr Ali Irani who had performed the surgery on Shah Rukh’s shoulder will lead the team of doctors who will make a final determination on the operation and the corrective action to take on his knee. As had been earlier reported some of the muscle tendons and ligaments in Shahrukh’s knee are beyond repair.
Shahrukh Khan is in good hands as Dr Ali Irani is a specialist in sports medicine and was the resident orthopaedic for the Indian cricket team; he is also Sachin Tendulkar’s personal medical consultant.
Andrew Leipus who is the physiotherapist for the Kolkata Knight Riders is also a specialist in Shahrukh’s physiotherapy team. It is expected that Shahrukh will fully recover in one month following the procedure.
