Ravi Chopra has snapped up Ranbir Kapoor for the next flick to be produced by his banner. The film will be directed by Parzania director Rahul Dholakia.
A source from the production house says, “Ranbir has already met with Rahul and Raviji. He has given his nod for the film. The actress is still to be decided. Nothing will be announced till Ranbir wraps up the Yash Raj film,” says the source.
Rahul, on the other hand, says, “We haven’t signed anyone yet. All this talk about people being signed is not really true. I myself have signed my contract only a few days back. But all I can say right now is that the story is about friendship. I can’t talk much about this film. You know the banner is very strict about confidentiality.”
Dholakia is currently finishing Bunty Walia’s Lamha with Sanjay Dutt.
“Lamha is very different from Parzania. It is a lot more commercial. However, it is set in modern day Kashmir and so we will be showing a love story with the current state of Kashmir as its backdrop,” says Rahul, “It’s a very real…very human story about life in Kashmir.”
