Lara Dutta has been busy telling the world that it was Akshay Kumar who coaxed her to act in Blue. She had even stated that she had initially turned down the film and that Akshay called her up and asked her to reconsider her decision.
If you’re wondering why Akshay was so keen on casting a down-and-out Lara in the film, here’s dope. Truth is that Akshay recently blurted out in an interview that it was Lara who approached him with the request to recommend her name to the director of the film.
But Akshay was hesitant because he knew Lara couldn’t swim, but the actress promised to learn both swimming and diving in six months. So, a convinced Akshay spoke to the director on her behalf and got her the role.
