The thumping success of ‘Kaminey’ has straight away gone to Shahid Kapoor’s head, for the actor is throwing tantrums at the drop of a hat!
News has it that Shahid Kapoor gave tough times to debutant director Parmeet Sethi, until Aditya Chopra intervened on the sets of ‘Badmaash Company.’ It is widely believed that had it not been for Aditya, YRF’s ‘Badmaash Company’ wouldn’t have been finished.
Talking about the big tiff between Shahid and Parmeet, a close source from the sets said, “Shahid was highly inquisitive and often questioned Parmeet’s decisions on the sets. More often than not, Shahid wanted to be the one to decide whether a shot was okay or not. He always used to question Parmeet about why he was asksing for so many retakes. Several times when Parmeet said ‘Ek aur baar karte hain,’ Shahid would demur because he felt he’d given a great shot.”
With the increasing number of retakes, Shahid started losing his cool and on one occasion, he backed off from giving a retake and even refused to come on the sets.
Amid some hi-voltage drama going on the sets of ‘Badmaash Company’, Aditya played a perfect negotiator between the two warring parties, “Aditya went up to Shahid and told him that Parmeet wasn’t doing anything without his knowledge and consent. Shahid understood Aditya’s point and returned to the set,” added the source.
When enquired Shahid about the whole incident; the actor teasingly said, “If there is anything I don’t mind, it’s giving a retake.”
Well, for starters, it’s not the first time when Shahid gave a harrowing time to his director. The dimpled actor has had his fair share of differences with his directors in the past too - do ask Ken Ghosh and Vishal Bhardwaj!
